We went to the zoo on the 4th of July.
The new cat exhibit is open. The tigers are RIGHT there!

In the evening, right after we put Liam to bed, people in our neighborhood starting setting off fireworks. Liam was not excited about the big 'boom booms'. Sean brought him down to the basement and they rested until after 11 when we hoped the fireworks were finished. We put him to bed and he fell asleep pretty quickly because some more fireworks went off and he didn't get upset about them. Ever since then, he will sporadically ask about the 'boom booms' being over before going upstairs to bed.
